MIDDLE OF NOWHERE
(October 2021 - November 2022)
'Middle of Nowhere' is a short psychological Thriller Written and Directed by Tom Bill & Produced and Assistant Directed by Myself.
After breaking down on an empty woodland road, a lone driver much go out to find help and journey deeper into the forest.
In October 2021 Tom approached me with the script for 'Middle of Nowhere' and asked my thoughts.
I was immediately drawn to the simple yet terrifyingly realistic narrative and tense atmosphere it creates and jumped on board as Producer and Assistant Director.
We began creating a final draft of the script and casting for the film. Pre-production included a location scout of the woods we would eventually be using as our location and suddenly we were transported into the film with nothing but a single LED panel to light the way.
Filming took place between January and February 2022 with 4 shoot days in total all on location, using two different woodlands and the car.
Post-Production consisted of the edit, sound mix and grade, followed by test screenings with a select audience who were encouraged to give feedback.
The Full film was released in September 2022 followed by a short Behind The Scenes Documentary where myself, Tom and Cinematographer Aidan Jones spoke about the creation of the film.
